Producers that are the members of the Healthy Chicken Meat Information Platform have promptly adopted the rules to be followed in the Warning Circular published by the Ministry of Agriculture to combat against the bird flu.

Various bio-security measures are being taken at poultry production plants. In particular, hygienic measures applied at chicken houses have been doubled, controls at the entry and exit from chicken houses have been increased. In addition, wire mesh covers at windows and air inlets of the chicken houses have been reexamined to ensure the prevention of wild birds entry.

Due to the extraordinary hypersensitive situation, chickens undergo higher level inspection procedure by the Ministry of Agriculture and receive “extra health certificate” before being sent to the slaughterhouse.
